How to make a brush in Paint Shop pro

Have u ever had an image and thought this would make a good brush but not known how to do it? then read through this.

In this example I am going to use this image, copy and paste it into psp 7

ok but I dont want the whole of this image to be a brush, I just want that cute little penguin, so to do that you click on the crop tool, it looks like this but make sure you have your tool options open, to do this right-click on the crop tool and click on tool options and a little option box opens up.  Move this beside the image out of the way from the bit you want to select.  Click on the crop tool then select the penguin by clicking beside it and dragging down, it should look like this:

Click on the crop image button and now you should just have the image of the penguin.  Ok now to make it into a brush. So select the whole of the image by going onto selections > select all

Click on the brush tool then like on the image below click on the little brush tool with the arrow next to it and then click on custom in the tool options box

Ok once you have done that another box pops up

Click on the create button, then voila you have created your very own brush! now remeber when you are doing this the image cannot be bigger than 255 x 255 pixels! Now to select the brush click on the little arrow pointing down and scroll down to select your brush!

Aww look there it is! now you can use it all you want and change the size and colour!
