Inline Frames Tutorial

I think that inline frames are really cool they make websites look really neat and tidy without the whole window loading up all the time....hmmm like mine lol.  anyway this tutorial is pretty simple :)

1) Make the layout! lol yep before doing this you have to have had a layout made so that you know exactly where you want your inline frame putting.

2) So you have a layout and you know where you are putting the inline frame..now I am not going to show you how to make a layout in this tutorial, that will be in the layout tutorial!

3) Put this code <iframe src="middle.htm" width="300" height="150"></iframe> but change the things in bold! now this will look like

3) You can align your inline frame too! <p align="center"><iframe src="middle.htm" width="300" height="150"></iframe></p>

4) k now you know how to do a frame but do you want it to blend in with the page exactly? then all you have to do is give it no border and to do that you put
<p align="center"><iframe src="middle.htm" width="300" height="150" border="0" frameborder="0">

see how it blends in exactly, you wouldnt even know it was a frame! but also you can do decorative borders, for example this
<iframe src="middle.htm" width="300" height="150" name="inline" frameborder="0" style="border: 2pt blue dotted"></iframe>
does this!

You may be thinking but you can do that with a table but the good thing about inline frames is you can make links open up in the inline frame insteas of opening up in the whole page, to do that you have to name your inline frame
<iframe src="graphics/middle.htm" name="inline" width="300" height="150" name="inline" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Then if you want a link opening up in that frame you put
<a href="test.htm" target="inline">test</A>

Here is an example Click Here

And there you go! you can now do inline frame, if you want to absolutely position you inline frame go to the absolutely positioning tutorial ><
