How to make pixels in Paint Shop pro

Ok so you have all seen those really cute pixels that are around right? but u dont know how people do them? well they are pretty simple really...the hard part is thinking up something new to draw!

For this tutorial I will use my yummy ice creams

MMMmmm makes u wanna eat them doesnt it! hehe  Well I make my pixels on psp 7, so open up psp then click on new page I usually open it up about 60 x 60 pixels and set the canvas to transparent!

Click on View > Zoom in by 5 about two times...thats usually what i work at.  Then I start off by drawing the outline of the ice cream, like so

Then pick some fill colours for the different parts of the ice cream - they should be lighter colours than the outline...heres mine

Now some people may leave theirs like that but I think it looks better with a bit of highlight and of course some strawberry sauce!  So decide which bits you want to highlight...I am choosing to do the top and the left hand side

looking good huh? now all we need to do is add the yummy sauce! hehe

Voila! yey we have a yummy ice cream! =9 ok now what I usually do is select my pixel > copy it and then paste as new animation in animation shop to keep the transparent edges.  When u save the colours may go a bit weird so when the save menu comes up like this

Click on customise and click on optimizations and make sure that none of them are ticked > unless u know why you are ticking them.  Also on the colours tab increase the number of colours and click reduce colours by nearest colour not error diffusion...that usually solves it! so experiment and your will produce amazing pixels!
